Local Lib Dems to run Half Marathon for Charity

Merthyr Lib Dems are raising money for Ty Hafan

Merthyr Liberal Democrats, Amy Kitcher and Kevin O'Connor, have entered the Cardiff Half Marathon to help raise money for the Children's Hospice, Ty Hafan.

Amy Kitcher, who represents Town ward on Merthyr Council, said, "Everyone agrees that Ty Hafan does an amazing job helping children and their families and we wanted to try and do a little something for them in return. So we decided to put on our running shoes and raise some money."

The half marathon takes place on the 18th October and will a 13 mile lap of Cardiff. The pair are collecting sponsorship between now and the race and you can sponsor them here:
